• Full-time, Days shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Administer chemotherapy and other IV therapies, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, recognize abnormal lab values, and communicate findings
• Manage and dispose of cytotoxic spills according to safety protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure quality standards are met
• Float within scope to meet hospital coverage needs, including possible coverage at affiliated facilities

Required Qualifications

• Active IL nursing license (in hand or in application process)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in oncology or infusion therapy
• Valid chemotherapy administration certification (preferred)
• Proficiency in IV therapy/infusion skills including port access, PICC line care, and blood draw
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in one of the major holidays (2 out of 3)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chemotherapy, including continuous infusion and body fluid handling
• Knowledge of safety procedures for cytotoxic spill management
• Strong communication skills to recognize and relay abnormal lab results
• Ability to work in a Magnet and Level I trauma center environment
