Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized peri-procedural nursing care in interventional radiology and special procedures units
- Assist with IR procedures including stroke management, conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring safety and compliance
- Monitor patient vitals and post-procedure recovery, supporting pre and post-procedure coverage as needed
- Collaborate with medical team to deliver quality patient care in a tertiary care environment
- Respond to emergency situations during procedures and maintain accurate documentation
Required Qualifications
- Active NC or Compact RN license in hand at start date
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including telemetry and conscious sedation
- Certifications: ACLS and BCLS, NIHSS required prior to start
- Ability to arrive at hospital within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- Experience circulating or working with ventilators (Vents)
- Familiarity with IR procedures, stroke protocols, and the use of hospital systems like EPIC and PYXIS
