Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry setting, including step-down from ICU without vents or pressor support drips.
• Monitor and manage patients on heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, sotolol, with telemetry oversight.
• Participate in ER holding, and initiate medication therapies under established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including floating within the hospital based on skill set.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR, including completing required modules within designated timeframes.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a hospital setting, specifically in a Telemetry or Medical-Surgical unit.
• EPIC EMR experience (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to float within hospital units as needed.
• Must submit Social Security Number with application.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in ER holding units.
• NICHE or geriatric patient care experience.
• Past exposure to NIHSS assessments.
