Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility and long-term care units.
• Assist with specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
• Support short-term rehabilitation patients recovering from surgeries, fractures, or illnesses through skilled nursing services such as IV therapy and wound care.
• Collaborate with care team members to create a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment for residents requiring long-term placement.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and facility policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• Associates degree in Nursing.
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and float to other units as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic care environment and handle challenging behaviors skillfully.
