Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in intermediate care, progressive care, and stepdown units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and carry out physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EMR systems to document patient information and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Manage complex procedures such as epidural management, chest tube care, and cardiac GTT management.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or valid multi-state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry and patient assessment.
• Ability to work 12.5-hour night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients, including open heart procedures and TAVR.
• Knowledge of CVICU procedures such as epidural and chest tube management.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
