Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver quality, compassionate patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting, maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.

• Circulate in the CVOR; scrub experience is a plus but circulation is required.

• Build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and their families throughout the perioperative experience.

• Provide leadership to team members by articulating and delegating expected standards of care, supervising staff, and supporting team contributions.

• Supervise LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, Unit Secretaries, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff as appropriate.

• Float to other units and hospital locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid Compact license; no temporary licenses accepted.

• NURSYS verification required.

• Current AHA BLS certification.

• Current AHA ACLS or Red Cross ACLS certification.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR experience</b>; candidates with 18 months of total RN experience working under the highest level of professional license will be considered.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with specialty experience in cardiovascular surgery.

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR.

• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
