Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Level 3 NICU environment, ensuring the highest standard of patient care for neonatal populations

• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation using unit-specific equipment, including PB 840 and Draeger ventilators

• Assist with deliveries and administer surfactant as indicated by clinical protocol

• Adapt to variable patient ratios based on daily census and area coverage needs, contributing to team-wide patient care responsibilities

• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately using the Meditech EMR system

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute care setting, including availability to work weekends as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

• NICU experience is required</b>; candidates without NICU experience will not be considered

• Adult and Level 3 NICU clinical experience required

• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and contribute to weekend coverage as needed

• Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience operating PB 840 and Draeger ventilators

• Experience with neonatal deliveries and surfactant administration

• Familiarity with Meditech EMR platform

• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-acuity unit environment
