Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, 3 shifts per week, 12-week duration

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including labor support, postpartum recovery, and neonatal transition.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, utilizing fetal monitoring systems and advanced equipment.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries.
• Maintain safety standards through daily patient rounding, emergency response, and adherence to unit protocols.
• Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Support new staff and act as a resource in a highly skilled, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Current certification in BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training.
• Proven ability to manage labor, including transition to postpartum, and neonatal care.
• Experience with OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Must have charge nurse experience and strong assessment skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to rotating schedule.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil.
• Skilled in emergency procedures, fetal monitoring education, and neonatal intensive care.
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN electronic documentation systems.
• Excellent team player with mentorship skills, with staff boasting 30+ years of bedside experience.
