Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental prophylaxis, including removing hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth surfaces.
• Apply topical fluoride treatments and expose/develop radiographs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide dietary counseling.
• Take and record blood pressure, review medical and dental histories, and chart dental diseases.
• Use electronic health records system for charting and charge entry.
• Assist in patient education and train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
• SC Registered Dental Hygienist license.
• No prior experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR or similar electronic health records.
• Ability to perform dental radiography procedures.
• Strong patient education and communication skills.
