Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care for adult patients in a general Med/Surg unit, with occasional pediatric patients
- Provide medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care as needed
- Utilize the Nursing Process to assess patient needs and make critical clinical decisions
- Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor to meet the needs of a diverse patient population
- Ensure holistic care addressing patients' physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs
- Maintain accountability to the Unit Director and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment
Required Qualifications
- Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- Influenza vaccination (required, no exceptions)
- All required credentials must be submitted at least five business days prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic health records system
- Comfort and competency with a mixed adult and occasional pediatric patient population
