Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide adult and geriatric respiratory care in a critical care environment, including extubation, airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administer a broad range of inhaled and aerosolized medications via multiple delivery methods including aerosol masks, metered dose inhalers, and nebulizers
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, including BiPAP, CPAP, high-pressure alarm response, and weaning protocols
• Perform pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy
• Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units or campuses as needed based on census, within areas of documented competency

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license in South Carolina — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Proficiency in adult critical care skills including ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a wide range of inhaled medications including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, pulmicort, tobramycin, and xopenex, among others
• Experience with hand-held, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizer delivery systems
