Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within an adult and geriatric patient population, including critical care settings
• Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administer inhaled medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, metered dose inhaler, and nebulizer devices including hand-held, T-piece, and trach collar
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, including BiPAP, CPAP, high-pressure alarm response, and ventilator weaning
• Deliver high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy, and perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas within documented competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license in South Carolina — must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Trauma Level 1 experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency in adult critical care procedures including ventilator management, BiPAP, CPAP, and airway management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience administering a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, and related agents
• Familiarity with a wide variety of nebulizer delivery systems and oxygen therapy modalities
• Experience with troubleshooting high-pressure ventilator alarms and managing complex weaning protocols
