Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical cases

• Handle, pass, and account for surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure safe patient care

• Adhere to facility protocols, infection control standards, and surgical safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Surgical Technologist certification (CST) or equivalent credentialing

• Hands-on experience in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma center environment

• Familiarity with a wide range of cardiovascular surgical procedures and specialty equipment
