Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in a high-volume operating room performing total joint arthroplasty, multi-level spinal fusions, and robotic-assisted surgical cases
- Operate and support Da Vinci Xi robotic system across GYN, colorectal, and general surgery casesmaintain a 1:1 patient ratio while serving as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process
- Participate in on-call rotation, averaging 5–6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period
- Collaborate with surgical team including RNs and surgical support techs across an 11-OR suite
- Document and chart accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active NBSTSA certification (required — candidates without this certification will not be considered)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
- Demonstrated experience in total joint arthroplasty and orthopedic procedures
- Experience with Da Vinci Xi robotic-assisted surgery
- Experience with spinal fusion procedures (orthopedic or neuro)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across a broad range of robotic cases including GYN, colorectal, and general surgery
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative approach to patient care
- Familiarity with Epic EMR in a surgical setting
