Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Tennessee or compact licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Compliance with all travel contract and facility onboarding requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in acute care settings
