Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including care in the NICU and PICU
• Deliver age-appropriate respiratory assessments and treatments to neonatal and pediatric patients
• Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; license must be in hand at time of submission
• Valid Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date and applicant holds a current license in another state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic electronic health records experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
