Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including care in the NICU and PICU
- Deliver age-appropriate respiratory assessments and treatments to neonatal and pediatric patients
- Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Float within scope of practice to other units within the facility as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; license must be in hand at time of submission
- Valid Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date and applicant holds a current license in another state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
- Epic electronic health records experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac PICU experience preferred
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
