Contract | 13–16 Week Assignment | Three 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | On-Call Requirements Include Weekday and Weekend Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting, with a focus on open heart and cardiovascular procedures
- Fulfill on-call obligations including one to two weekday call shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM) and one full weekend of call every five weeks
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling to meet the needs of the unit and patient care demands
- Float to other OR suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed in a circulator role
- Accurately document patient care using the facility's electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-competency experience in Cardiovascular/Open Heart OR
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Large academic or teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience floating across multiple OR specialty suites
