Contract | 13–16 Week Assignment | Three 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Monday to Sunday work week | Call requirements include one to two 12-hour weekday call shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM) and one full weekend of call every five weeks | Schedule flexibility required to meet unit and patient care needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment, with a primary focus on scrubbing open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Circulate in other OR suites (General, Orthopedic, Neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed when floated; scrubbing is not required when floating
• Fulfill weekday and weekend on-call obligations as scheduled, including coverage during periods of short staffing
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation utilizing Epic EMR
• Collaborate with surgical teams in a large academic teaching hospital setting to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-competency experience in Cardiovascular / Open Heart OR
• Must be proficient in scrubbing open heart procedures
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Experience in a large academic or teaching hospital setting strongly preferred
• General OR experience across multiple surgical specialties (Orthopedic, Neuro, ENT, etc.)
