Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Onsite | Acute Care Facility
Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical technologist support within an active surgical services department operating across 8 rooms with a daily census of approximately 25 cases
- Perform on-call duties as required by the needs of the unit
- Float within the contracted facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as directed
- Work weekends per the needs of the unit
- Participate in holiday coverage, with willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Complete required onboarding modules prior to start date and annually thereafter
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience required; 5 years strongly preferred
- California state license preferred; pending CA license accepted
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility or be willing to accept local rate if within radius
- Must be willing and able to float between sister facilities as assigned
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
- First-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
- 5 or more years of surgical technologist experience in an acute care setting
- Active California state license in hand at time of submission
