Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fully surgical orthopedic unit with occasional medical overflow, caring for patients with diagnoses including total knee replacement, total hip replacement, spinal fusions, and women's surgical overflow
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias; engage Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Perform peripheral IV line care and management, as well as phlebotomy as required
• Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Operate and document within unit systems including EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Adhere to isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols; manage wound vacs and surgical drains as frequently required on unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Orthopedic nursing experience (hard requirement)
• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) work setting
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with total joint replacement procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
