Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 40 hours per week | Four 10-hour shifts: Monday & Tuesday 12:00 PM–10:30 PM and Thursday & Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM | Rotating on-call weekends 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional ultrasonic imaging of internal organs using diagnostic ultrasound equipment, ensuring all images meet optimum diagnostic quality standards including required measurements, volumes, anatomical information, and demographic data.
• Select appropriate transducers, adjust equipment controls, and apply positioning techniques to optimize image quality for each examination type.
• Review physician orders for accuracy prior to examination, coordinate requisition review to confirm the correct exam is ordered based on clinical history, and document order review on the requisition.
• Accurately enter patient orders, charging procedures, and scheduling information into the Meditech computer system and maintain complete patient records.
• Operate image processors and printers to produce diagnostic quality final images and ensure all required data appears on printed data sheets.
• Maintain a safe patient environment by preventing fall hazards, accommodating patients with mobility or sensory limitations, and complying with all relevant safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Radiology Technology.
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) registration in Ultrasound Technology required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong technical skills with diagnostic ultrasound equipment, image processors, and related computer systems.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain organized workflows, and manage multiple tasks in a clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience performing ultrasound procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar hospital computer systems for scheduling, order entry, and patient records.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatric and elderly patients.
