Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Medical Surgical unit within a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Perform PICC line management and initiate peripheral IV access as required
• Float within scope to other units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across night shift hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand at time of submission, or actively in the application process with a confirmed ETA
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical RN experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Demonstrated experience with PICC line management and peripheral IV insertion
• Ability to work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
