Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Systematically gather and evaluate patient information to develop and modify individualized respiratory care plans based on ongoing assessment and reassessment.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and oxygen therapy, including management of mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP units with appropriate patient parameter selection.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including ABG collection, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function testing per ATS standards, and EKGs.
• Assist with flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy and support implementation of the VAP bundle consistently per protocol.
• Provide patient and family education on cardiopulmonary conditions, medications, equipment use, and discharge instructions; evaluate understanding and readiness to learn.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, delegating to other providers as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or eligible.
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license required.
• ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and electronic health record use.
