Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a 286-bed acute care hospital
  • Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 in a Level III Trauma facility
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
  • Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
  • Participate in emergency response team activities during hurricane season (June through November) if assignment falls within that period

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
  • Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Demonstrated telemetry competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred
