Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a geriatric population in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting
- Support and manage patients with dementia and behavioral health diagnoses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia as part of an established behavioral program
- Administer medications and treatments, working alongside a medication aide during designated shift hours
- Complete skilled nursing documentation and charting using the facility EMR system (PCC)
- Participate in location-specific orientation including training, facility tour, competency verification, and 1–2 shadow shifts
- Work holidays that fall within contracted block schedule as required
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a block schedule
- Proficiency or ability to learn PCC (PointClickCare) EMR system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health setting within long-term care
- Familiarity with caring for patients with dementia and psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder
