Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Contract / Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Scheduling Period Required | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients including high-risk OB cases, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity and transition needs
  • Assist with and support procedures including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, twin deliveries, D&C, D&E, and emergent C-hysterectomies
  • Manage and monitor patients requiring massive transfusion protocol and those with placenta accreta spectrum disorders
  • Operate and monitor equipment including Alaris pumps and CADD epidural pumps; document care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, surgical techs, schedulers, and physicians across a unit with LDR, antepartum, OBED, and OR settings
  • Participate in self-scheduling practices while maintaining a highly engaged, team-oriented approach to patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in High-Risk OB / Labor & Delivery
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) / Advanced EFM certification
  • Current CPI certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with massive transfusion protocol in a high-risk OB setting
  • Experience managing patients with placenta accreta spectrum disorders (PASD)
  • Familiarity with CPN and Meditech EMR platforms
  • Highly motivated, positive, and intentional approach to patient interactions and clinical procedures
