Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in the delivery of patient care
• Practice patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and consistent patient communication and board updates
• Demonstrate flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
• Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of total nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Ability to work in all areas of the Emergency Department with scheduling flexibility to meet departmental needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Familiarity with serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
• Experience in a comprehensive stroke center or high-acuity trauma environment
