Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including routine and complex procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, observing for side effects and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, procedures, and health management.
• Make appropriate clinical decisions and delegate tasks to support staff as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• At least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or perinatal nursing.
• Completion of hospital- or unit-specific orientation and annual competency validations.
• Current certifications in NRP, STABLE, ACLS, and fetal monitoring preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Recent experience in a perinatal or labor and delivery setting.
• Certification in electronic fetal monitoring (FHM or NCC).
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
