Registered Nurse – CVPICU (Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, manage ventilators, and operate multiple patient monitoring systems
• Participate in the care of pediatric cardiac patients, including those requiring heart transplant management
• Float between units within scope of practice to support facility staffing needs
• Adhere to weekend shift requirements, including 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA of licensure posting)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVPICU experience, including formal orientation as a staff or core nurse in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Pediatric cardiac experience is required; candidates must be cardiac trained
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Proficiency with ventilators, multiple monitoring systems, and EKG interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Heart transplant experience
• Experience working in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric facility
• Willingness and ability to float between units within scope of practice
