Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU serving approximately 190 births per month at an acute care hospital facility
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including rotating weekend shifts every other weekend, with potential for additional weekends based on unit needs
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
- Active California Registered Nurse license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Current BLS/BCLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current PALS certification
- LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days (required at time of start)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Familiarity with Level III NICU protocols and high-acuity neonatal patient populations
- Ability to float between like units within the state as assignment needs require
