Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Neurology (Contract Travel)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Neurology unit with day-shift patient ratios of 5–6:1
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EMR
• Perform medication administration and pharmacological management in accordance with unit protocols
• Conduct thorough medical-surgical assessments and monitor neurological patient status
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented approach while adhering to unit guidelines and dress code (navy blue scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Demonstrated competency in Medical-Surgical assessment skills
• Demonstrated competency in Pharmacology assessment
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Neurology or Neuro Medical-Surgical unit
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience as a travel nurse in an acute care setting
