Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 in accordance with unit standards
- Float between like units or affiliate facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
- Complete required orientation (approximately 36 hours) and annual compliance modules prior to and during assignment
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in holiday coverage, working at least 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery and postpartum nursing experience required
- Valid California RN License in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Willingness to float between sister or affiliate facilities as assigned
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital environment
