Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 in accordance with unit standards
• Float between like units or affiliate facilities as needed based on staffing requirements
• Complete required orientation (approximately 36 hours) and annual compliance modules prior to and during assignment
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Participate in holiday coverage, working at least 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery and postpartum nursing experience required
• Valid California RN License in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to float between sister or affiliate facilities as assigned
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital environment
