Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7PM–7AM) | Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in a fast-paced adult and pediatric emergency department setting
• Manage and care for patients across exam, resuscitation, triage, and fast-track rooms
• Perform admission work for boarded patients as required
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to other units as directed by department leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver life-saving care in a Level I Trauma facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Level I Trauma facility required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Must pass EKG exam during orientation
• Active ACLS, BLS, and CPI certifications required prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department with 100+ bed capacity
• Familiarity with observation unit workflows and acute care room management
• Experience with pediatric emergency patients
