Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Bon Air, VA
Schedule / Job Type: 4 Days per week, Day Shift, Travel Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat adult patients with various diagnoses related to speech and swallowing impairments
- Conduct Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and develop individualized treatment plans
- Utilize specialized equipment such as MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, and Bioness BITs
- Document patient progress accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and communication goals
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia State License or Certified Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with adult medical and rehabilitation populations
- Strong assessment and treatment skills for speech and swallowing disorders
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Neurotherapy or neurological patient care experience
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Knowledge of advanced speech therapy equipment and procedures
