Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (19:00 start) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical/Surgical units during night shift hours
- Float to all Med/Surg units as needed to meet staffing demands
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions in accordance with clinical standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Adhere to weekend rotation schedule and holiday coverage requirements as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Willingness and ability to float to all Med/Surg units
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Experience with night shift scheduling in an acute care setting
