Travel Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehab

Location

Waycross, GA | Inpatient Rehab

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) | No weekends, no on-call | 12-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for inpatient rehab patients
• Provide therapeutic interventions including gait training, therapeutic exercise, and ADL training
• Complete CARE and FIM assessments as required
• Supervise PTA staff in accordance with APTA standards of professional practice
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing using Meditech (billing only); all clinical documentation completed on paper
• Manage a caseload at a 1 therapist to 4 patients ratio within a 10-bed inpatient rehab unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia Physical Therapist license required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to unit needs
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop rapport with patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior inpatient rehab experience
• Acute care rehab experience
• Familiarity with standard therapy gym equipment
