Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Polson, MT | Critical Access Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekends required, equally split among staff
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care including triage, labor support, recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Maintain patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:6 depending on unit census and acuity
- Document all patient care using Epic electronic health records
- Float between units and sister facilities as needed based on staffing demands
- Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including working at least one designated winter holiday pair (Thanksgiving/Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's/New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of LDRP or OB nursing experience required; seasoned travelers strongly preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must be available for weekend shifts, equally distributed among staff
- Must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a critical access or small community hospital setting
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Experience managing the full LDRP scope independently, including newborn care
