Contract (16 Weeks) | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Guaranteed 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care on a high-acuity GI/GU unit managing diagnoses including ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, and GU/medical overflow cases
• Perform and manage IV insertion, peripheral line care, PICC line management, central line blood draws, and phlebotomy
• Administer and monitor drips including Heparin, Lidocaine (pain), Bicarb, Amiodarone (stable, non-titrated), and manage PCAs, epidurals, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Provide colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, and blood product administration
• Monitor telemetry via centralized tele system; interpret and manage dysrhythmias; must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Epic EMR</strong>; float within service line as needed to meet facility demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; pending MO license submissions accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance deadline)
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry and remote cardiac monitoring
• Familiarity with colorectal and urological patient protocols including TURPs, foleys, and CBI
• Experience managing insulin, Heparin, and PCA drips in an acute care setting
• Strong teamwork orientation and experience in a high-turnover surgical patient environment
