Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments across metro campuses as a dedicated float pool RN — no permanent home unit assigned
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac emergencies including pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Provide care for patients presenting with conditions including stroke, sepsis, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform charge RN duties and holiday shifts as assigned per unit needs
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 8 shifts per 6-week scheduling period (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday combination)
• Utilize unit technology including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell systems

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Demonstrated experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings
• No pending licenses accepted
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management
