Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the women's health section of radiology, including quality assurance, preventative maintenance scheduling, and structured reporting for accurate audit and statistical tracking
• Perform mammography exams in accordance with imaging department protocols or in coordination with the Radiologist, adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards and FDA guidelines for mammography
• Verify exam orders, confirm patient identity using two forms of identification, obtain informed consent, review medical history, and provide patient education prior to procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure charging, supply documentation, and all records required for accreditation and inspections
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers for external maintenance as needed
• Assist with training and cross-training of imaging staff, support other modalities as needed, and contribute to policy and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, including CT and/or MRI
• Cross-training in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, or DEXA
• Experience with electronic health records systems, including PACS and RIS/HIS
