Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Weekend coverage expected approximately 1–2 times per month | Holiday coverage as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment services within a hospital-based acute inpatient care unit
- Document patient care and progress using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in weekend coverage rotations as scheduled (approximately 1–2 weekends per month)
- Contribute to holiday coverage based on facility needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient recovery and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist License or Multistate Compact OT License required at start of contract
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute inpatient setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience working within multidisciplinary hospital teams
