Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in a 24-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit serving General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level One Trauma Center environment to deliver patient-centered care
• Manage and monitor a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies
• Accurately administer medications and identify and respond to dysrhythmias; a pass/fail competency assessment will be administered on Day 1
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Massachusetts
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ICU experience required
• Telemetry (TELE) experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated proficiency in medications and dysrhythmia recognition required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, or Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU settings
• Familiarity with acute therapies used in high-acuity surgical intensive care environments
• Experience working within large, multidisciplinary healthcare teams
