Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Neuroscience & Epilepsy

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Neuroscience and Epilepsy unit serving patients with neurological conditions including TIA, stroke, and epilepsy
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 across a 29-bed unit during night shift
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Perform and assist with neuro-focused procedures including ictal SPECT monitoring
- Float to all acute care areas as needed, including med/surg, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, and orthopedics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including RNs and Patient Care Technicians
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required; candidates without this certification will not be considered
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Strong time management skills
- Royal Blue Scrubs required per dress code policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification — candidates with this certification will be given priority consideration
- Prior experience in neuroscience, epilepsy, or medical-surgical nursing
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
