Contract | Days | 4x10s or 5x8s | Every other weekend required | 13 or 26-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments and develop person-centered discharge plans in alignment with applicable policies and regulations
• Provide brief clinical interventions, resource navigation, and coordination of care for patients and families
• Screen for suicidality and engage in safety planning as clinically appropriate
• Complete mandatory reports of harm in accordance with state statutes and coordinate with outside entities
• Collaborate closely with RN Case Managers and the broader care team to facilitate safe and ethical discharge planning
• May float to like units within scope of practice to meet facility needs as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska LMSW license required</strong>; candidates without a license in hand may apply using a temporary LMSW license — candidates are encouraged to apply for the AK LMSW temp license
• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
• Acute care experience is required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working within an Emergency Department, pediatric, NICU, PICU, maternity, or adult inpatient setting
• Familiarity with care management social work in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma hospital environment
• Experience with safety planning, harm reporting, and coordination with community or outside entities
