Contract | 13–25 Weeks | Nights (19:00–07:00) | 3x12s, 36 Hours/Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a freestanding emergency department serving self-presenting patients across all age groups, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Respond to and participate in stroke codes, heart codes, trauma codes, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and external pacing situations
• Perform and assist with moderate sedation procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4 and manage patient handoff at change of shift in a timely and thorough manner
• Fulfill holiday and weekend requirements (every other holiday; every 3rd weekend)

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required; no exceptions
• Recent Epic experience required
• All required certifications must be current and provided at time of submission
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles are considered local
• No overtime or incidental overtime is authorized for travel RNs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with moderate sedation, stroke, cardiac, and trauma code response
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
• Experience working in a high-acuity emergency department environment with diverse patient populations
