Contract | Night Shift | Options for 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with on-call requirement. If selecting 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is expected. Every-other-weekend coverage expected unless needs change.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 22 weeks gestation and greater, including complex diagnoses such as HIE, RDS, sepsis, diaphragmatic hernia, myelomeningocele, and more
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including jet ventilators, HFOV, Draeger ventilators, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Arctic Sun, and dual incubators
• Assist with and support special procedures including full body cooling, chest tube management, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license required
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required; NICU Level II and Level III experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; night shift NICU applicants must be at least 50 miles from the contracted campus (50–99.9 miles considered at a reduced rate; under 50 miles ineligible)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with Pyxis/Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Experience with B. Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, Alaris pumps, and Philips central monitoring
• Prior experience managing patients with ostomy or external shunts
• Experience with Arctic Sun or Blanketrol cooling systems
