Contract | Night Shift | Option 1: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with no call requirement | Option 2: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) with a call requirement of at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly | Every other weekend coverage expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above, managing diagnoses including HIE, RDS, sepsis, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, abdominal wall defects, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, myelomeningocele, and ROP
• Perform and assist with special procedures including Full Body Cooling, Chest Tube management, Tracheostomy Management, Avastin administration, laser eye surgery support, and surgical repair of anomalies (excluding cardiac)
• Operate specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Atom and GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant Warmers, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, and External Shunt/Ostomy management
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and utilize Pyxis/Omnicell for medication management
• Float to other NICU units or facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License required
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience required; NICU Level II and Level III experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be fully eligible; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered at a reduced rate for night shift; candidates residing under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced neonatal ventilation modalities including HFOV, Jet Ventilator, and Bubble CPAP
• Familiarity with Full Body Cooling protocols and Arctic Sun equipment
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity NICU setting
