Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Evening Shift | 5x8 Hours (15:00–23:30) | Rotating Weekends | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap functions within the sterile processing department
- Float within scope to meet facility needs; may be required to float to sister campuses or alternate locations
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Adhere to inclement weather team assignments and emergency response protocols as directed by management
- Support surgical case preparation across a variety of specialty service lines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
- National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no time off will be approved after contract is signed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with specialty surgical cases including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN
- Prior experience in a teaching facility or Magnet-designated hospital
- Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced surgical services environments
