Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Monitor and document patient conditions, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards throughout the unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or a qualifying Compact license
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Med Surg setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in acute care environments
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills in fast-paced hospital settings
