Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7p–7a, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend (Friday & Saturday) | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to postpartum and antepartum patients
- Float within skill set as needed, including coverage of Level II nursery patients in the NICU
- Assess, monitor, and document patient progress using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support maternal and newborn outcomes
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols and facility floating policies within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- Maximum of 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN preferred
- Prior experience in postpartum and antepartum nursing
- Experience with Level II nursery or NICU patient care
